Welcome to Citizens Advice South Liverpool

At Citizens Advice South Liverpool we can give you free, confidential, impartial and independent advice and information on a wide range of subjects.

We can work with you to sort out any debt worries and claim all the benefits you may be entitled to. We can help with housing and employment problems, or deal with queries about consumer or tax issues. We can advise on legal matters, answer questions about immigration, and we have a lot of experience on family and personal matters too.

We are a charity, dependent on a workforce of paid staff and trained volunteers. Our funding comes from Liverpool City Council and other major contributors. We speak up for change in social policies; from our clients' experiences we can see where services and policies are failing.

We are a member of Citizens Advice, which provides the extensive information system we use to advise clients and sets standards for advice, training, equal opportunities and accessibility in the bureau.

Citizens Advice South Liverpool are involved in the following projects:

  • Advice on Prescription Programme (APP) funded by Liverpool Clinical Commissioning Group in partnership with East and North Liverpool BX. Full Citizens Advice service based in 93 GP surgeries across Liverpool. Vulnerable patients are referred by their GP.
  • Diversity in Delivery Project (DID) funded by Big Lottery Fund to increase and improve the delivery and access of advice for the BME residents of Toxteth. Potential volunteers can contact Eddie Ocquaye on 0151 726 1021 or email: eddie.ocquaye@southliverpoolcab.org.uk
  • Digital Hub in partnership with Union Learn.  Assistance with basic I.T skills clients can drop into Garston Wednesday 9:30am – 1:00pm or call 0151 427 3980 for an appointment.
  • Energy Best Deal & Energy Best Deal Extra provides energy awareness sessions to community organisations and face to face appointments. Clients can self refer.
  • Improving Financial Confidence funded by Big Lottery Fund providing Financial Capability advice to tenants of Liverpool. Clients can be referred by their landlord or self refer.
  • Money Advice Service funded by Greater Merseyside Money Advice Partnership provides specialist debt advice the people of South Liverpool. Clients can self refer by email, telephone or drop in.
  • Shared Lives Plus national telephone line support scheme a network of family-based or very small scale care, support and inclusion approaches for disabled or older people this service is for carers who are attached to the scheme.  For further information please contact Maria.Vaccarello@southliverpoolcab.org.uk.
